- This monograph brings together years of sustained research on the language of money. The data collection and analysis underlying the book took a considerable period of time to assemble through extensive archival research (the Mass Observation Archive, chapter 7), negotiating access to ethnographic research that was then transcribed and analysed (Money Lives project, chapter 6), field work at get rich events (chapter 3) and assembly and analysis of primary texts (chapters 3, 4, 5 and 6). The project brought together research from anthropology, economics, sociology, semiotics, philosophy, paremiology and linguistics.
