- ‘Uchronie’ is a history of all forms of counterfactual speculations. It examines alternative history from its earliest beginnings with Herodotus to the early 21 century. This book is the only monograph to cover counterfactuals in serious historiography and theology as well as in pop culture including novels, poems, graphic novels, computer games, music, films, fashion and design. It is also the only book that looks at alternate history in a long term perspective covering antiquity as well as the Middle Ages, the early modern period and modernity.
