                            - The central contribution of this paper is that it provides a method for network aggregation. The application to vulnerability of the network illustrates one of many potential uses. Inputs to the standard network user equilibrium model are the matrix of Origin-Destination demands, the network link cost functions and the node-link network connectivity. Computing equilibrium flows and OD costs requires an algorithm, and the functional dependence is hence obscured. We collapse this model into a matrix of closed-form OD demand functions that accurately approximate the equilibrium costs, reveal functional interdependences and allow instant computation thus saving on computation time.
