                            - Output represents first work to adapt award winning research on graphical inference in visualisation (Wickham et al, 2010) with unique context of geographical visualisation. Awarded "Best Paper Honorable Mention" (top 5% of accepted papers) at IEEE Information Visualization (A* CORE; "flagship conference, a leading venue in a discipline area"), Baltimore, 2016 (25% acceptance). Also presented at University of British Columbia Distinguished Lecture (2016). Research delivered through ALGOVIS Marie Curie (H2020-MSCA-IF-2014 656741) and Project VALCRI (FP7-IP-608142). Results used to support lineups in Correll et al. (2017) ‘Sanity Checks’ paper and “remedy against bias” in visualization by Valdez et al. (2017).
