- This 217pp study is based on 159 group discussions with young people (974 individuals, 12-19 years old) in 49 different locations in 15 states that joined the EU in/after 2004, or were candidate states. Research and analysis (January 2010 - to July 2014) was 13 field trips, 55 days. Discussions groups, from a wide social and regional range, were coordinated and conducted by the author, with local collaborators. Discussions centred on political identities (local/state/Europeans). The scope and extent of the collection of original data, and of the range of analysis, demonstrate sustained research of complex and original primary data.
