- This is a research monograph and a “longer-form output”. It includes 290pp. It emerged from a sustained research effort, lasting approximately four years. The monograph extensively engages with a substantial quantity of primary sources, located in a number of British archives. This research led to the discovery of complex and previously unexplored and uncited materials, and the examination of a wide range of existing literature from a variety of relevant fields and topics. The monograph presents new knowledge and prompts a distinct reappraisal of British government policy in the immediate post-war period.
