                            - This paper underpins an EPSRC award to the paper author Dr H Sun - TOPMOST project (EP/P005950/1) which was ranked 1st of 19 proposals in the panel, working with Intel and Sunamp. This project then led to Innovate UK project "Electrical and thermal storage optimisation in a virtual power plant" (no. 72255-494201) to help industrial partners Sunamp (Dr Maurizio Zaglio, maurizio.zaglio@sunamp.com), Moixa, and UK Power Networks to develop new functions for their products. Internationally, the results were used for establishing a demonstration project which validated its energy and carbon reduction capability in Yuan Ze University, Taiwan (Dr Wei-Yu Chiu, chiuweiyu@gmail.com).
