- Double-weighted statement
- This monograph is based on extensive primary research on a large body of little-studied and untranslated texts in two medieval languages conducted over a period of five years. It remains the only monograph that investigates a significant facet of Islamic intellectual history to this conceptual depth. The book advances a new thematic approach to the study of Islam that may open the field of study to those not necessarily interested in Islam but interested in a shared theme across disciplines. In terms of the substance of the research presented in this monograph, it should be equivalent of five journal articles.
