                            - This article realized the fastest reconfiguration speed for an amplitude modulator at frequency > 2 THz based on graphene at that time. This represented an important milestone towards > GHz reconfigurable optoelectronic devices, as the basis of future wireless communication platform beyond 5G. This work (supported by EPSRC grant EP/J017671/1 ) was presented in peer-reviewed conferences, e.g. CLEO USA 2016, and it has helped securing further grant applications (e.g. EPSRC grant EP/J017671/1) or establishing new collaborations e.g. with the Ecole Normale Superieure, France (Royal Society application IES\R3\203011, submitted).
