                            - This paper presents a new class graphene-fibre optic biosensor with ultrahigh sensitivity (with a 100-fold increase) and remarkable reusability. This multidisciplinary research was cited as advantageous graphene-optical biodetection platform by review papers in Coordination Chemistry Reviews (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ccr.2018.08.001) and Advanced Materials (https://doi.org/10.1002/adma.201805043). It led to EU H2020-MSCA-RISE-872049 (PI:X.Chen, €1million, https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/872049) and positive industrial engagement with Arden Photonics Ltd (david.robinson@ardenphotonics.com), FYLA Laser Ltd (ppmillan@fyla.com) and Summa Semiconductor Ltd (sami.suihkonen@summasemi.com). It led to Royal Society-Newton Advanced Fellowships (PI:L.Zhang, L.zhang@aston.ac.uk) and research contribution to WEFO/ERDF project SEEC (£7million, http://seec.bangor.ac.uk/), also led to invited talks at Photonics Europe-2018/France and EMBL/Heidelberg.
