                                - This the first Anglophone introduction to the work of philosopher François Laruelle that covers all aspects of his ‘non-standard’ philosophy. It is the culmination of over 10 years’ research. The duration of the research reflected the work involved in tackling a diverse range of philosophical themes, from paraconsistent logic through logical behaviourism, performance philosophy, animal studies, and the history of twentieth-century Continental thought, as each pertains to an aspect of Laruelle’s work. These were then interlaced with a broad range of film-philosophical themes: editing, acting theory, animation studies, the ethics of documentary making, and the work of Lars von Trier.
