                            - Italian. The figure of the Prince dominates as the subject and ideal interlocutor in the Miles Christianus and Bibliotheca Selecta of the Mantuan Jesuit Antonio Possevino (1533-1611). From a bibliographical and pedagogical point of view, the works imprint Jesuit ideology on the educational model meant for the institutio of the Christian Prince. A comparative analysis of the Miles Christianus and the Bibliotheca Selecta enables a broader reading of the dynamics that operated on the Jesuit contemporary social context. A comparative analysis of the Mantuan Jesuit’s works clarifies the systematic project of the spiritual elevation of the Prince as Miles Christianus.
