                            - First very large-scale study of influence of genetic factors on sleep behaviours relevant to cardio-metabolic and mental illnesses. This study identifies novel genetic relationships between sleep duration, schizophrenia and measures of adiposity (BMI, waist circumference). The findings have motivated a lot of further work on genome-wide studies analysing the relationship between sleep behaviours and disorders related to learning abilities, mental health, metabolic conditions and others.
