                            - Funded through the Centre for Global Eco-Innovation and, primarily (>£100k), by the partner company NP Structures Ltd. (Colne). The Managing Director of NP Structures is an industry co-author. Uniquely, the article takes a whole engineering system approach, addressing the design, construction, optimisation and testing of a functional grow-cell, with a cost-effective mixture of novel and off-the-shelf components. The real-world trials were conducted by Bordon Hill Nurseries Ltd., who found the system improved the crop yield and reduced water consumption.
