                            - Collagen is a major extracellular matrix protein and therefore useful to monitor during regeneration processes. With financial support through EU-FP7 BioDesign (#262948) and EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Regenerative Medicine, a new method for the online, real-time monitoring of neo-collagen deposition in 3D engineered constructs of the same sample for prolonged culture period has been developed. The programme of research supported the PhD project of Dr Rachel Gater (now a Medical Writer at Ashfield), career progression of Dr Katie Bardsley (Adaptimmune), and was presented at the World Tissue Engineering conference in September 2018.
