                            - An internationally collaborative output, detailing a role for heparin in combatting viral infection, via a rapid response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Input was drawn from 7 distinct organisations drawn from UK, Italy, Brazil, and Australia with funding support from BBSRC (BB/L023717/1; BIVHVB-2020/07/SKIDMORE; BB/S009787/1) and the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo, Brazil (2020/04899-1). Immediate impact was noted with over 15 media outlets featuring this output including MeD India (31st Jan 2021), Polish Press Agency (30th Jan 2021), and Sciencenewsnet.in (25th Feb 2021). A follow-on output has been published in the British Journal of Pharmacology (doi/10.1111/bph.15304).
