- This substantial monograph is the first book-length comparative study of young Muslims and young Christians in a European city. It required extensive parallel research in two inner-London neighbourhoods for a period of more than two years, including work with sixty primary informants and detailed case studies of four religious institutions. In terms of depth and richness of research contribution, each of the book’s six main chapters is equivalent to a journal article. The book makes important empirical and conceptual contributions to inter-religious comparison and to academic debates on integration and multiculturalism.
