                            - This paper is part of a series façade fire related publications aligning with the Fire and Rescue National Framework published by the UK Home Office. The research programme was funded from three sources namely: E.U. Projects “ELISSA” (EeB.NMP.2013, Grant No. 603086), “ELISSA” (Grant No. 609086) and E.U.-Greek “Fire-Facts” (Grant No. 1116). Research outcomes contributed to the development of an energy efficient, lightweight, sustainable and safe steel façade system for green buildings. Novel large-scale fire experiments were conducted in the Greek Fire Academy and National Technical University of Athens. Research outcomes supported a proposal submitted in January 2021 H2020 Security call.
