                            - This paper presents a novel experimental technique to tackle a conventionally difficult problem in a much cheaper way. It can be widely applied in both liquid and gas phase experiments for both reacting and non-reacting applications. Three months since its publication, the technique was invited to contribute to an open-source software package which is being used by over 50 universities world-wide (http://www.openpiv.net/; alexlib@eng.tau.ac.il). This paper has been chosen by the journal to be an open access article, free of charge.
