- Based on a meticulous analysis of the unevenly preserved ritual text on P. BM EA 10610.1-5/P.Ramesseum B, this work challenges earlier interpretations of the rites and identifies the text for the first time as a commemoration ritual celebrated for the accomplishments of king Senwosret I at Karnak temple. The work thus breaks new ground for understanding the reverence of deceased kings and the expression of such veneration. The publication, which also includes an updated copy of the original, resituating it in its archaeological context, will be a standard reference for the veneration of deceased kings, and for rituals in general.
