- Rewriting Franco’s Spain is the first book-length study on the subject of Marcel Proust’s influence on Spanish memory writing. Fruit of four years of research, this 244-page study unearths Proust’s influence on eight of the most culturally significant and closely studied works of Spanish memory fiction from the past seventy years. The research was supported by two successive scholarships awarded by the AHRC and the Leverhulme Trust, and the resulting monograph has been reviewed favourably by eminent scholars in Bulletin of Spanish Studies, Modern Language Review, and Forum for Modern Language Studies.
