                            - A theorem was developed for the first time to split the complex problem of torque distribution between multiple drivetrains of electric vehicles into simpler parametric sub-problems that are solvable with conventional ECUs. The developed theorem was validated using a Range-Rover Evoque demonstrator that indicated considerable energy savings compared to alternative strategies. The research was part of the European project iCompose (https://egvi.eu/research-project/icompose/) where Skoda, Fnaunhofer-IVI and AVL were involved in prototyping the algorithm with real cars. On top of several citations, FEV, Germany (contact: schnorbus@fev.com) showed their interests in sponsoring two PhD students to expand the idea for production-line vehicles.
