                            - This work comprised the first rigorous analysis of the regeneration of an intercalated carbon adsorbent using a mechanistic model. At the time of publication this approach was without precedent in its application to the novel regeneration scheme under investigation. Sponsored and co-authored by Arvia Technologies, it made a significant contribution to enabling Arvia to commercialise its NyEX™ water treatment technology for “hard” COD (chemical oxygen demand) and “colour” allowing the company to grow and expand into South East Asia (verification: N.W. Brown, Arvia technologies, The Heath, Runcorn, Cheshire).
