- Watching Jazz was the result of an AHRC-funded project, ‘The Use of Audiovisual Resources in Jazz Historiography and Scholarship’. Elsdon edited the volume along with Björn Heile and Jenny Doctor. Elsdon’s individual research contribution was co-authoring the book’s introduction (14,000 words) and authoring a single chapter (7,000 words).
